We have dozens of cases against financial advisory and brokerage firms recommending GPB. So here's the three important concepts behind our litigation process, that is helpful for you to understand how to recover your GPB losses, from the firm that made that recommendation
Number one -and this is important. We are suing the advisory or brokerage firm, not GPB itself. They are the ones we responsible for the misrepresentations and importantly, the omissions. These firms were required to make suitable recommendations and GPB is not suitable for most portfolios.
Two - you will keep the GPB products and continue to own them. Whatever eventually happens with GPB will happen and you will get whatever benefit is afforded to the holders of GPB regardless if you sue the advisory firm or not.
Three - we do not charge any fees on what GPB eventually returns to you. I repeat, we do not charge any fees on what GPB will eventually return to you. Our services are free of charge if we recover nothing for you on any claim against the advisory or brokerage firm. We work on a contingency basis and our claim is against the firm that gave you this unsuitable advice.
Chances are you're in other illiquid securities and we can help you with those two. Many investors who first contact us fear that our fee is based on the GPB principle. It's not, it's based on what we get for you from the entity that made the unsuitable recommendation, call an attorney who is focused on the representation of consumers against brokerage firms and advisory firms just like the law firm is Shepherd, Smith, Edwards & Kantas.
